I am/was a victim of the 'Kate Moss' eyebrow trend in the 90's/00's... For any of you who don't know who that is or what that trend is, it's basically plucking your eyebrows until you have nothing left and nothing growing back because you did it for so long.
Why? Seriously, why was this such a good idea? At least I know I'm not alone. Insert [ MICROBLADING], the best thing since sliced bread... seriously, though. I look back at pictures and cringe.
So what is it?
Its super easy, pretty quick, and if you've had a tattoo, its probably pretty painless. I shed a few tears, but I really didn't know what to expect.
So, first of all. if you are thinking of getting this done, your hubs/significant other may be just like mine, and research like crazy. My hubs told me (about an hour before I went), that I should be prepared for my eyebrows to completely fall off. A little dramatic if you ask me, but I give him props for concern.
Second, find someone GOOD! This is a semi- permanent tattoo, you want sanitary. Also, check into their work, this is ON YOUR FACE! I've seen some scary eyebrows.
When you get there, just know you get to make 99% of the decisions when it comes to your eyebrows.
They will draw/outline the shape that you ask for, or is recommended.
You will check yourself out in the mirror at least 10 times to make sure you are 100% happy with it.
Colors... you will get choices, if you are lucky like me, she will blend some colors to make sure you like the color.
Its go time!!
Easy peasy topical numbing cream, sanitary blade and close your eyes and relax (as much as you can).
TADA!!
